As some of you may know, I co-own another site besides my own called WiiCade.com. WiiCade has been offering Wii-compatible games since the launch of the Wii itself, and we've just recently launched our third complete overhaul of the site. Some of the new features include:
-Awesome new additions to the WiiCade API including Nunchuk support, online multiplayer, WiiMote twist and distance from the screen, and 4 simultaneous WiiMotes
-A full redesign of the layout, look, and scheme
-Increased submission functionality including submission editing and unlimited sandbox
-Fancy javascript shit!

So it's definitely worth checking out. Developers especially, we'd love to get some more interest from you guys. Wouldn't it be neat to make a sniper game where you zoomed in by bringing the WiiMote closer to the screen, or a piloting game where you steered your craft through narrow spaces by twisting the WiiMote to rotate? And all this possible with 4 players, too.

It has support, but no one has made a game that uses it yet :( Again - whatup developers? Maybe I ought to include that in my next project. My current one only uses the twist and the 4-player.

Aye, it's limited, admittedly. Only works for players 2-4, and no control stick yet. I hope that development comes through those, because I'd love to play a Flash game with control stick.

Have you tried Flash on a PS3 yet? It's alright, not something worthwhile but a fun gimmick. The bunny game by Ferry Halim is a fun one to play stoned.

Winterbells, or whatever? I like that one, heh. I haven't played a PS3 at all yet though, let alone Flash on a PS3. Perhaps sometime in the future.

I've had Wiicade in my Wii browser bookmarks pretty much since the browser came out, and all of that stuff sounds awesome. It is unfortunate that it hasn't been taken advantage of yet, but I look forward to playing games that do include some of those features. It'd be really nice if someone made a really nice game that included most if not all of those features for a really awesome game tailor-made for the Wii.

Thanks :) There are currently 5 games on WiiCade that use the new API, some of which use quite a few of the features. Just take a look at the front page lineup for these games.

Blech, can't say I'm a fan of the new layout (at least in IE7) but hey, it probably looks much better through the Wii browser. The added functionality for editing and such sounds ace though.

If they can solidify that API and actually support flash 8+ in the Opera browser, then I can see some pretty awesome things happening with flash and the Wii.

The API is WiiCade's, and I would argue that it IS quite solid :P but the Flash version thing is in Opera and Nintendo's hands, so there's really nothing we can do about that.

Anyway I've noticed somethin' 'bout you recently... You only have games but have never made a movie. Theirs nothing wrong with that, in fact I like it. Your like one of the rare game-devouted poeple on the site. It's hard for me to even imagine programming all those games. How'd you learn to program anyway? 'Kay, well then... I look forward to your next game and I wouldn't mind seein' a full out consol game from you.

Heh, yeah. I've only made a couple of crappy little animations but none of them are attached to my NegativeONE account, currently. I'm definitely a big gamehead. I self-taught myself much of my programming knowledge through painful trial and error in Visual Basic 6.

I'm liking all the AJAX stuff, I don't have a Wii so I can't play the games. But the design itself I think isn't looking too good. The frontpage itself looks like you've just jammed everything on there (though, I like the ajax game selection thing). It's all too central with no real distinct menu. The play game button on the game page needs to be moved up. Normally when you go to play the game it's near the top of the screen, I spent about 30 seconds looking for it.

It also seems too enlarged. All the fonts are huge which is kinda annoying. Other than that, it just seems like a sloppy, rushed design, but well coded in the backend.
