Oh shit

I've seen this icon on the front page for a while and passed it by because I didn't know it was a Sherb joint. I just happened by it cos I wanted to put something on while I peeled an orange :P Fortunate for me because this piece came out great. Shame you have to deal with all the twits asking if it was necessary that you pursue your own creative vision at the cost of their virgin eyes. That's why ya gotta animate first for yourself, then for the crowd. I hope you think the same way because 3.91 does this sub no justice. 'Specially when so many halfassed video game flashes get top 50. Ah well. What can I say? Keep doin' what you're doin'. I look forward to whatever's next.

thanks mon ami. virgin eyes indeed! but its all good cya around

I was wildly surprised, even with high expectation

I couldn't believe how long this one was. The amount of work put in must have been enormous. Every single background has so much detail, even if only seen for a few seconds. It was kinda funny to see Bitey finally get his just desserts, although I suppose he falls on crap luck in every episode to some extent. Excellent new settings in this one, and neat to see so many of the old characters back again. I could go on, but this is just objectively amazing and needn't be elaborated as such. Thanks for a new favorite.

David Firth?...

For some reason, I felt a Dave Firth vibe throughout this animation. Either way, it had a separate from his all throughout so I enjoyed it all the same. Funny stuff and very creative.

Inspired by?

It's probably been said, but nothing's really different from the original besides the obvious character swaps. I know it's a parody, but it doesn't need to be so similar for people to be able to make the connection. That aside, the graphics weren't bad (though Stamper's thumb is on backwards when he types on the keyboard and that was kind of an annoyance). Animation was a bit lame and the audio seemed to be largely drawn from the original. All around a meh submission that I hope served as a productive learning experience.

Great stuff, as per usual.

You've really got a great handle on conveying action and accurately rendering different perspectives. The whole thing feels very full and three dimensional. Freetown is pretty convincing, as a city, aside from seeming to be completely unpopulated in this animation. There might be a reason for that - I didn't read all the writeups at the start. Stylistically, it feels like there was a little slice of Jet Grind Radio in there, which is definitely a good thing. The more people who stumble across that lost piece of amazing, the better. Anyhow, great animation all around, solid voice acting, befitting music choices, not a flaw to be found.

Pretty good stuff

Not the best in the series, but still a good one. I only recently started watching the KFK series because I was never a particular fan of College U. I was surprisingly amused by it and I've been watching an episode or two each week since then. Not much new that I can say about this episode. It doesn't deviate from the Karl we've come to love, and I've never been against more of the same if it's something I like. Keep it up.

Decent

I have to admit, this video automatically lost some points based on a pet peeve of mine, which is animating exactly what the lyrics are saying. As such, I liked what you did with the bridge a lot more than the rest of the song. Stylistically, it seemed a little cutesy for a song about breaking up, but I suppose the aesthetic was clean and consistent throughout the animation. Gave this one a shot because I like Nothing Better. Overall, not bad.

Meh

So I checked out your personal page to get some added insight, and I'm glad I did, because now I don't feel bad about giving this movie a half-assed rating. The ego-dripping page goes on about the "secret to your animation", as though it were confoundingly good. Worse yet, you choc it up to motion capture, yet all character animation is awkwardly tweened. Did you motion capture paper dolls? Rotoscoping should involve frame by frame, and actually feel realistic, like in Tracer. I hear myself being an asshole, but I don't really care, because this animation used every gimmick in the book and still had no feeling of intensity. Screen shakes are a staple, but how many times do I have to see that slow-fast-slow-fast thing that 300 hard-wired into the brain of every shallow animator? Bah.
What'd I like about it? The openness of the battlefield and that you could see the whole thing at points. I would normally give this animation a 7, but the gimmicks and the ego bring it down. I'm sure this couldn't cause a microscopic scratch in your self-worth anyway.

Great, despite the disappointing length

I like the general atmosphere of the movie, the minimalist storyline, and a lot of other little things. I just wish it had gone on long enough to really establish its style in a way you could nail down. Voice acting was really good, which is pretty key, because a movie like this could have really been dragged down by bad voice acting. Not much else to say until we get a longer installment :P Looking forward.

Haha, honestly funny

It's not often that I actually find a Flash animation genuinely funny, but this is just one of those finds. The audio absolutely makes the movie. The singing and the voices in general were perfect. They didn't have that rookie quality that makes you picture a dorky, inexperienced kid behind a microphone. They came off as professional. The graphics and animation held their own. They didn't really need to be astounding in a humorous and audio driven Flash anyway.
Awesome work. I'll be spreading this link around to friends.

Yeah, we're all gonna get a lot of things done tomorrow.
