Looks great!

You gave this entry a 5, raising its score to 3.31! Damn, I can't believe this submission isn't doing better. I'm sure it'll take an upswing though. The graphics are nice and have a very unique style. There's plenty of dialogue (almost too much at times, but it's nice to have a game that can actually last an hour or longer). It would be nice if you could click on the talk button to proceed text though. It was sort of tedious moving the mouse between the two points. Those are just small quips though. It looks like a great game. I'll play it fully tomorrow. No time tonight.

Visual-Noize responds:

Hmm, you´re right with the proceed-procedure... I´ll fix that as soon as possible.
Thanks for your review and your vote! ^_^

Just a few minor flaws

The graphics are great, with the obvious compromise being latency. I had to put it on low quality to get smooth movement, which is quite a rareity for me. Sound is above par, there was enough variety to keep me entertained, and the intro was great in itself. But I would really like to know how to beat that winged pink bastard. His guts are practically falling out of his chest before the shotgun seems to lose effect. Where do you go from there?

Totaljerkface responds:

ha... i'm sorry guys. shooting him in the stomach does nothing. i just put it in there cuz he had no armor on his stomach. i guess that is a bit misleading. you have to shoot him in the head when he's not holding his shield up.... which is while he's attacking.

Took me forever and a day to download

given NG's current bandwidth, but I'd say it wa worthwhile. The original art is very rewarding in itself. Plus, the game mechanics make it a lot of fun, too. I think the original Arrogancy series was before my time, but I'd heard about it, and expected this game to be a great one when it showed up on the portal. I hope that this gets daily feature.

arrogancy responds:

I see you're making a RPG, yourself. Working on this I know - it CAN be done, but it's a rather tremendous undertaking. The amount of art, writing, and music that is going into this is ridiculous - and there are tons of programming hassles.

It served its purpose

I wasn't blown away, but it's not often I am. The selection of cars was impressive, as well as the extensive features that put it well beyond the fundamental drag racing game. Story mode was good. Control may have been a weak point. Working the clutch and gears seemed coumbersome. It seems some keys were detected on enterFrame instead of on press, that should've been the reverse.
I don't know a thing about law, but are you sure you're allowed to sell a game if you're using registered cars in it? Just concerned.
My reviews tend to sound bitter, but make no mistake, I enjoyed this game. Keep at it.

PhantomGames responds:

All buttons were detected using on (press). And for law, I'm not selling this version. I'm selling another version.

Yeah, we're all gonna get a lot of things done tomorrow.
