More great pixel stuff

Well, you said you guys used to work in that old 16 Color Program all the time, so I suppose this is some of the work that came out of it. Very well done, especially the animation on the man's face as he grew different animal features. Must have been as tedious making this back then as it was to import it frame by frame into Flash, heh. Keep it up :)

Dustball responds:

Thanks. (wow, you see EVERY submission don't you?) Yes, with primitive drawing tools (and no layers) it was very tedious pulling off some of the visual that you see. And then yes, getting every last frame into Flash!

A very good series so far

I've caught every episode entering the portal since the first and I've yet to be disappointed. The voice acting is great, graphics are well above average. The storylines are pretty unique and you don't seem to be imitating anything. The style is all your own, which I sincerely appreciate to see. Are you planning on carrying on with the series? I hope to see more.

BaconMask responds:

First off, thanks for the review!

Second- My drawing style started developing when the Simpsons premiered back when I was in fifth grade. I took a LOT from it. Then... slowly, I was more and more influenced by expresionist/surrealist painters. The two make an interestinng blend on my whole philosophy towards my works. It's kinda art... but it's kinda toony...

And yes, I have MAJOR storyline developments that will be implemented around episode 10.

Yes, I said 10.

haha, that's great

I used to have Super Ghouls and Ghosts when I was a wee lad. It took up a significant part of my childhood that I'll certainly never get back. Ya had to play the thing through at least twice before you could actually beat it. What was that about? -_- Anyways, good Flash. Well animated and drawn. Good sound. While it wasn't laugh out loud funny, it had a definite charm. Looking forward to seeing more.

Needle responds:

It's a series tradition that you have to go through the game twice in order to beat it. It's the same deal with Ghosts n' Goblins, I'm afraid! The problem is, no one can get through it once, let alone twice. Impossible! Impossible! Impossible! :D

This is actually a great series, really

I'm not too gung-ho about gratuitous violence, but all 5 installments of the series have been great, regardless. The development of your skills is very apparent from DR1 to DR5. I'm kinda looking forward to seeing how the series will wrap up. I hope you don't kill off the main character or anything.
So yeah, great graphics, good animation, good use of sound. If there's one thing, it's that I laugh every time I hear "B.M. Virus", since B.M. usually stands for bowel movement.

SickDeathFiend responds:

lol! bowel movement. It stands for Blue Mask Virus, which is just a name the blue mask gave it.You find out later in part 6 that its not really a 'virus' heh.

Say hello to my leetle friend

lol, I like that this one was considerably longer than the majority of the other installments in the series. It was also good to see a lot of past characters included in one. The larger of the two main characters - in this animation, the coach - had his work cut out for him as the voice of reason, in this one. What's his name, by the way?
Animation and sound, superb as always. Looking forward to the next. As always, you get my 5.

jato responds:

his name is argus. thanks for the good review!!

Quake III, I heard 'woot'

I actually have a part-finished Quake 3 movie, myself. I've moved it aside to work on other, more important projects, but I'd like to believe that it'll be finished someday. Not a bad movie you've got here. The art seems to be pixels tho? That's weird. Sound was sufficient; taken from the game itself. Overall good. Keep Flashin'

Geneticeye responds:

finish your Q3 movie and i will be there to vote 4 ya

Excellent in many important areas

I really appreciated the comic-book look of this animation; it gave it a certain uniqueness, compounded by the original design of the main character (or is he not your own and I've just never seen him before?). Sound was not lacking in the least. I also felt that the animation was well-paced. It was slow, in a sense, but the suspense kept it flowing without a loss of interest. I see this as a very promising series, and you as a very promising Flash author. I'll keep an eye out for your work whenever I can.
Is Dr. Shroud your character?

robfeldman responds:

Yes, Dr. Shroud is my character. Thanks for seeing the suspense in it---it seems everyone else here is passing that off as "boring".

Thanks for the comments.

Hey, remember me? ;)

I finally got around to watching the movie I was neck and neck with the whole night (07/05/03). If I hadn't submitted that day, I'd have happily seen this become daily feature. Well done, resonably good idea, plausible sound. Graphics are the strong point.
Well, the bright side - we both beat MarioTheMonkey, and that's pretty impressive. Happy Flashing in the future. Keep it up.

rebornMCW responds:

lol, can't believe u actually reviewed. Actually, u did deserve the Daily Feature. I'm just a bad loser.=P. Dont be discouraged because I hate losing.=D

Yeah, we're all gonna get a lot of things done tomorrow.
