Excellent in many important areas

I really appreciated the comic-book look of this animation; it gave it a certain uniqueness, compounded by the original design of the main character (or is he not your own and I've just never seen him before?). Sound was not lacking in the least. I also felt that the animation was well-paced. It was slow, in a sense, but the suspense kept it flowing without a loss of interest. I see this as a very promising series, and you as a very promising Flash author. I'll keep an eye out for your work whenever I can.
Is Dr. Shroud your character?

robfeldman responds:

Yes, Dr. Shroud is my character. Thanks for seeing the suspense in it---it seems everyone else here is passing that off as "boring".

Thanks for the comments.

You're damn right

As a scripter, I know how much of an injustice it is that people rip off scripts for games as amazing as half-life 2. Someone needed to do this, and I think you did a great job of it. I even laughed out loud when the last lad's house blew up. Good times. Keep up the fine Flashin'.

I love the style, but it's very short

As I said, the style is very unique, and I think the bizarre sounds accompany it well. I voted five because I fear this will be blammed. I raised it to 1.63, so it may very well be :( Keep at it though, just look into making longer animations

Not a bad little film

I'd say the greatest asset would be the length. It doesn't cut off after a couple of minutes like so many portal entries. The drawing and animation is up to par, story seems to be sufficient. However, you really must remember to credit your audio source. In this case, it's Emerge, by Fischerspooner, in case you got that off Kazaa and you're not sure if the file info is correct (happens all the time with electronica).
Keep it up.

I'm not a fan of clocks, but

I do enjoy the tune you used. I think it's by Danko Jones, is it not? I suppose the animation was up to par and stuff, and it was humorous at times.

Ups and downs

Everything was fairly visually pleasing, but there could've been a lot more animation, considering there are no changes of scene in an animation with already very little movement. Many might find it too slow-moving. I personally think it's good. Deserves to be somewhere between 3 and 4, so I voted 4.
One thing, though - you should give credit for the background. You said you were responsible for "all" graphics, but the bg looks like it was taken from a movie, probably Spirited Away itself.
Spirited Away is a great movie, btw.

Finally, another installment :D

You've obviously come a long way from the original. While you maintained that original side-scroller sorta perspective, the introduction of perspective and complex backgrounds is fresh and inspiring. Can't wait to watch this twice. Keep Flashin, man :D

What an ignorant culture of people we've raised

There is no damn band called Run DMX. There's Run DMC, and there's DMX.. no Run DMX though. I don't think people should use music without at least knowing who created it. Otherwise you can't properly credit them. Another instance of inproper accrediting lies in that this is a remix of the original, and the remixer should be credited as well.
The animation itself... mediocre. Some good sound (aside from the music) would've accompanied it well.
I also must've missed the "excessive violence". Was that when the UFO crashed? o_0

Other people listen to Flaming Lips?

I found this movie through your more recent one, Kissing a Fool. I was surprised to see that someone liked The Flaming Lips enough to make a high quality animation in tribute. Not that they're not worth it; just saying that big fans are a humble few, really. I suppose they have more fame now, than ever, but they've been unnoticed for about or above 20 years.
The animation itself was obviously well done. Clean clean graphics and and a very interesting approach.
I'm glad to have stumbled upon this.

Another quality installment

I must say, I'm a fan of the Kegel series, but I'm sure you get that a lot. Although I didn't have as much fun watching this one as past installments, it was a great animation, no less. Good sound quality, well animated, truly funny; I hope this series keeps going for quite some time.

Yeah, we're all gonna get a lot of things done tomorrow.
